Preparing Individuals for Independent Housing

Individuals with developmental disabilities and their families often ask “isn’t there a simple guide that explains how to plan for housing?” The Northern Virginia Regional Implementation Team offered individuals and families a workgroup/webinar series in 2016 on planning for integrated, independent housing in Northern Virginia. The eight session series was coordinated by The Arc of Northern Virginia and funded by a Virginia Housing Development Authority grant. The topics included:
