LINK - Against Hunger
Areas of Assistance: Fairfax County, VA, Food Assistance, Loudoun County, VA, Herndon
LINK provides food to low income individuals and families in need in the Herndon, Ashburn, and Sterling areas. Food is delivered to client’s home. Those requesting emergency food call the LINK phone line and a coordinator calls back. For those who are qualified, a delivery is scheduled Tuesday-Saturday and each family is given about five day’s supply of non-perishable food and a certificate to purchase perishable food per each request. LINK is unique in delivering food to the homes of clients. Assistance is provided up to four times per year.
LINK also operates a mobile food pantry the second Tuesday of each month in the rear parking lot of Christ the Redeemer Church at 46833 Harry Byrd Highway in Sterling from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
