Food for Others provides food through warehouse services and neighborhood sites.
The Emergency Referral Program provides free emergency food to individuals and families referred to Food for Others by social service providers such as social workers, clergy, hospitals, and schools.
Food for Others operates The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which provides monthly food to those clients meeting income guidelines.
Northern Virginia residents may walk in and apply. Bring a photo ID and if it does not have your current address on it, please bring in a lease or a piece of mail addressed to you.
Individuals and families in need to supplemental food may go to one of 16 neighborhood site locations to pick up food distributed in the evening by Food for Others' volunteers. Clients receive food at these sites with no referral necessary.
