United Community Ministries provides limited financial assistance for emergency rent. Eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis. UCM’s policy is to have a co-pay loan that involves the client in the process: therefore, clients are asked to sign a loan repayment agreement. All monies are disbursed directly to the landlord. Assistance is limited to $100 for subsidized housing and $150 for non-subsidized housing.
United Community Ministries maintains a pantry of perishable and non-perishable food that is distributed on a case-by-case basis to individuals and families in need. Assistance is limited to one time per month; exceptions are made for emergencies.
