Utility Assistance

Utilities are primarily defined as the cost of electric, natural gas, oil, propane, wood, and water that are required for heating and cooling a home and providing running water for kitchen and bathroom facilities. Utility assistance consists of financial assistance to cover the cost of utility arrearages, utility deposits and connection fees, repairs of heating and cooling equipment, and unpaid utility bills.

The Loudoun County Salvation Army thrift stores provide furniture, household items, and clothing at a low-cost rate. The Salvation Army provides living assistance for utility bills, rent, prescriptions, food, clothing, and furniture, and a hot meal distribution program on Saturdays.

Salvation Army at Alexandria Citadel Corps

Salvation Army at Alexandria Citadel Corps provide utility and rental assistance for families facing eviction, food and gift baskets for the hungry and utility help to keep the lights or water on.
