Lorton Community Action Center provides new and used furniture and household goods to individuals and families in need. Financial assistance for rent deposits and will contribute small amounts to assist other groups in meeting the needs of their clients. Payment is made directly to the landlord.
Lorton Community Action Center also collects and distributes, on average, more than 8 tons of food every month. The food program helps feed over 220 families weekly. The pantry operates 5 days per week. Many of these families with children would have to skip meals without the food assistance from LCAC.
